Wyoming guard/wing Brendan Wenzel is currently on campus for a visit as I type this, he confirms with RRS.
The 6-foot-7, 208 pound senior is originally from San Antonio, TX. One of his priorities in transferring is to get back to his home state, so Tech is in a good spot should they push.
He signed with Utah out of HS and played sparingly for the Utes before transferring to Wyoming before the 2021-22 season. Since then he's played in 89 games at Wyoming including 66 starts.
He's coming off the best season of his career, where he averaged 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. He shot 40.5% from the field, 37.7% from deep (5.4 attempts per game) and 80.9% from the free throw line.
He has 1 season of eligibility remaining.
