New Drake recruit

Well there was another person in Lubbock who was a important athletic track star from Drake. Won the high school mile in Iowa . He was on track team for Drake, ran in Drake Relays and those were radio called by Ronald Reagan. He won the mile in 1939 and later a pilot in WW2. Also capped Buddy Hollly teeth in 58 or so. Hubcity s father.

How about that ! His real fame was as a swimmer as well.
