I e mailed a good friend recently. His Dad was my boss in the legal dept of a very large energy company in Houston and we got to be friends. He is much younger than I but we are both big Tech fans and used to watch games together, played golf a lot.
He is in media management and very successful. Married a nice pretty young lady who went to Tech Law!!
Now here is the Meat.
His college grad son is in town for a visit. Out of the Blue he gets a phone call from our Basketball coach, Grant!! ?? My friend is in one of the big Tenn. cities.
Grant says he is in town and wants to take him to lunch or dinner !!
Grant when he goes somewhere looks up supportive supporters so my friend and son had dinner with our coach. He loves Grant now.
Said Grant was a gym rat as a young fellow. Later walked on at Baylor and was on Beard s staff in some capacity.
Grant went to Tech, his wife went to Tech may be from Lubbock. I think we have our Gerald Meyers, I hope. Hubcity
