Per an inside source that is very close to the situation, Grant McCasland has reached out to Barrett Peery to talk about potential positions on his staff and to gauge Peery's interest in returning to Lubbock (I'm also told that Coach Peery is very interested in coming back to the South Plains). Coach McCasland indicated that they are also talking to some other individuals about open positions on the staff, and that hopefully decisions should be forthcoming this week.
EDIT: To be clear, the other individuals that Coach McCasland would be talking with may very well include Ben McCollum. In any event, it was clear that a decision was expected in the near future.
