I figured I would start this here because it would only get moved here after a short amount of time given what I am about to say. I keep reading so many Tech fans on social media saying that Texas Tech admin has responded to this in a “woke” manner and is persecuting Christianity and Mark Adams beliefs with this suspension. How tone deaf do you have to be not realize how a 66 year old Anglo man’s usage of that particular portion of Scripture might come across to a team full of African American student athletes? If you refuse to look at it from the player’s perspective, then what does that say about you and the core beliefs that you hold? I guess I should also take into account that a huge chunk of our fanbase has no clue what’s been going on behind the scenes with this team throughout the season, and they also don’t know about the dirty laundry that has been aired about Adams’ personal life.
