You guys freaking out and calling for heads to roll have this real bad.
I used to sports hate UT. It made everything right with the world when Tech would beat them. And so much worse when they beat Tech, which was almost every time.
Tech is not, nor have we ever been their equal as a program. Not in physicality, not in facilities, not in revenue, not in donor engagement, and on and on it goes. So what? Can't just click our heals together and change that.
The new Big 12 is full of teams at our level of existence and below. We are no longer a poor excuse for a football program. We have a healthy football program on the rise. Over the next several years we will experience, for the first time ever, what it will be like to ha e a roster packed with 5 yrs straight of D1 quality athletes. And the longer you keep that running, you have guys that have been able to learn a system and perfect it. That makes you even better. And then more talented players grow up being fans of your team and it keeps getting better.
We have always been the little step brother. Like it or not, and I don't. But the evil step brother is gone and we will have a much more level playing field. We actually have the right guy, and a real gem of a man, as HC. You will feel better, and make much better posts if you just let the evil step brother go, and be glad about what is right ahead.
