Positive: it’s clear that Tech is a different team when they play in Lubbock under McGuire and I think that’ll again be the case this weekend vs. Oregon. It may not be enough to win, but I expect a close game and wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled off the upset. Shough playing his former team is an interesting storyline and players often perform at a higher level in emotional games like this.
Negative: that road record… oof. Maybe it’s been discussed, but I didn’t realize it was that bad. With the persona Joey portrays to the public, you’d think he’d be the type of coach who could rally his players on the road. At what point does that become concerning?
