I have never been worried about the length of the game...what I worry about, what bugs me, is the pace of the game. Get in the box, call a pitch, throw the ball, play the game. It is very easy to over think things. Just play ball.
He's right. And to some extent this is true of collegiate football, not because of the play of the game, but because of the interference of the officiating and television timeouts. This is the most important aspect of college football that needs to be addressed. The pace of the game as set by the athletes and coaches is fine...the other aspects are the problem.
It can be done. See any EPL game, and notice that they get in their commercials, but they have 45-65 minutes of running game time per half without commercials.
