Fun night for the Red Raiders. Handled business for the most part in the 75-58 win over Oklahoma State.
-Darrion Williams continues to be that guy. So much fun for me to watch his game, just a super enjoyable brand of basketball that he plays.
-Pop came out of his shell tonight, finally. Was able to chip in a massive amount and it made things go pretty smooth for this team.
-The defensive effort was really strong tonight. Just an excellent job on that end for the entirety of the first half but the effort in the first ten minutes really sucked the air out of a lackluster building quickly.
-Good to see Chance knock down quite a few big shots in the second half. Had the big dunk and the big layup to answer the run that cut it to a 14-point game.
-Joe had a strong night defensively, five steals as the Red Raiders forced 13 on the night. Darrion too, was big on that end.
-The bigs kinda struggled tonight but I thought Yalaho put some good things on tape tonight, sans the missed bunny. He’s one that has definitely developed over this stretch, it’s frankly been huge for this team in the current state you’re in and will help you a ton if WW can’t come back.
-You have the chance to finish the regular season on a three-game win streak if you can knock off Baylor at home this Saturday. Cannot understate how much that one could help you from a tournament perspective.
