Another tough one, some quick thoughts on the loss in Waco.

-Frankly, pretty gutsy night for this team regardless of result. This team, missing their lone big man, hung in there with a really excellent rebounding team.

-I have been pretty tough on Joe Toussaint on here over the last two to three weeks in these but man he was key tonight. He was able to get back to a score first mentality and he helped you for the most part. Hated that possession with the back to back threes late in the second half, though.

-Pop really forced some stuff tonight, kinda seems to be his MO but I just don’t know where else you go. Live by the sword die by it too.

-Darrion Williams had his best game in quite some time. Seemed to struggle a bit against Bridges on defense.

-Was really good to see Kye’Ron Lindsay play, I thought he did some really good things on the defensive side of the ball despite the fouls early in the night.

-Lindsay, Jennings & Yalaho really struggled on the offensive side, like it was flat out bad. We’re talking about smoked layups. It’s understandable to an extent that you’re afraid of Yves Missi blocking your shot, but man, that was rough.

-Pretty sure you can easily make the argument that Tech’s most important player is Warren Washington, this was a different team tonight. He is a difference maker with his rim presence & with everything he can do offensively. Really curious how the return matchup of this one goes in around a month with Warren back on the floor.

-Tough night overall, just unfortunate circumstances. Red Raiders are now on a three-game skid, and it doesn’t get any easier. They have four days to get ready for a 3 p.m. tip against UCF at the USA.
