6. Texas Tech (8): The Red Raiders jump over Texas and Kansas State following the biggest win of Kliff Kingsbury’s career. Texas Tech rolled into Arkansas and walked away with a 35-24 win over the Razorbacks after a devastating loss to Arkansas in 2014. Texas Tech sophomore quarterback Patrick Mahomes is proving proficient, while David Gibbs' defense showed it is improving each week. Every Big 12 team should be scared of the combination of Mahomes and an opportunistic Gibbs defense.​
