Big 12 teams like Tech, OSU, and Colorado each need 3 common opponents each season in the Big XII.
Eight teams getting a rivalry game each year and Eight teams getting nothing is not acceptable.
New Divisions
1. Texas Tech
2. TCU (rival)
3. Baylor (rival)
4. + 1 (Colorado/OSU)
1. Arizona
2. Arizona St
3. BYU
4. Utah
1. Kansas
2. Kansas St
3. Iowa St
4. +1 (OSU/Colorado)
1. Cincinnati
2. Houston
3. UCF
4. +1 (WV)
*Each team within their division should play each season home and away as common opponents to offset/compensate league members during rivalry weeks.
4 Divisions
*Each team plays 2 teams from each separate division home and away & alternating every 3rd season to play the other 2 teams from each divsion.
*Each team continues to play 3 non-conf opponents.
The current 8 teams who get a common opponent for rivalry week have an unfair advantage and the League is not as strong as it would be with 4 Divisions and 3 Common Opponents.
I've said my due diligence as a loyal Tech/ Big XII fan.
Hope the Big XII rethinks it's scheduling to make it more equitable for all teams.
It would make the conference stronger.
