This thread linked below is crazy. For the tl;dr crowd, essentially a prof at A&M was asked to present at UT Medical Branch. Within an hour of her being done someone in the audience complained saying she made comments tying Dan Patrick to the opioid crisis. By the end of the day they are placing her on leave and looking to fire her. They investigate and everything goes away, but it has never come out what she said.
