One of the great things about being an old man is that there are not many gifts people can find for me. So I suggest music most often.
I received several albums I had been wanting for a long time to receive, among them old and new...Tyler Childers and Guy Clark, Townes Van Zandt and The Doors, Buffalo Springfield and Van Morrison, Led Zepellin and Jimi Hendrix.
But the best one by far was a surprise. Willie Nelson's album A Beautiful Time, is extraordinary. His words and those of Lennon and McCartney, Leonard Cohen, Rodney Crowell and Chris Stapleton are astounding. Especially you old timers like me, or you guys who love great lyrics, thoughtful philosophy, and fine music, will find it absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend it.
