I’ve had this thing 5 months. An electrician hooked it into our old doorbell, which is an old Nutone. A few weeks ago, it would ring, one time, at odd times. This afternoon it suddenly began ringing non stop. I disconnected it from the house current of the old doorbell to stop it. Called Ring trouble line, waste of time.

It came with a chime, that’s plugged into a wall outlet. Everything works fine off the battery, but I know that I’ll have to recharge the battery eventually. I’ve read something about hooking in a transformer to keep it recharged.

Anyone have any experience with something like this?
