My old high school’s football team (Abernathy) finished the year at 9-1and just played their first playoff game. They are ranked #6 in 3A Division II and their starting QB/inside LB has committed to play for Army. Great kid and terrific athlete.
In any event, their first playoff game was against Reagan County last night. Reagan County finished the year 0-10 but somehow still made the playoffs. Abernathy was up 61-0 at halftime and ended up winning 75-0.
What in the world is the UIL doing? There was absolutely no reason to play this game....can’t imagine it was good for either group of kids.
