Rodney King. This unarmed man got beat to within his life on camera by (8,9, 10?) cops. The cops had guns and Billy clubs. King had nothing. They stacked the jury with a bunch of people that didn't look like King and couldn't/wouldn’t empathize with someone like King. The armed cops said they feared for their lives and got off
I have had numerous arguments with people, all of whom happened to be white, who argue the cops were 100% justified in whipping King's ass like they did. You can't convince them the cops were wong to beat an unarmed man like that. One or two of those people will find their way into the jury and prevent a conviction. Ive seen this movie and the numerous sequels before.
