I was just looking at the Rivals 100 and noticed Georgia and Louisiana placed 12 and 10 kids, respectively, on the list compared to Texas placing 10 kids. Obviously, GA and LA are much smaller states in population. So you might say that there is an SEC bias, and maybe there is, or maybe the best athletes in GA and LA predominantly play football.
So I looked at the Rivals 150 BASKETBALL list, GA and LA both have 2 players in the top 100, whereas Texas has 10 kids on the list.
So I'm wondering what else the kids in a state the size of Texas are all playing? Here in Washington, soccer is huge. I'm sure a large % of the best athletes in WA are playing soccer. When we lived in Chicago, all the kids played lacrosse.
