Does anyone know the specifics of Kliff's buyout and how that works?
It's $9.4 million after this season. Whether that would be the agreed upon amount between both parties or it's less, is whatever the buyout amount is paid out in one sum?Or is it paid out over a period of time?
More importantly, if Kliff gets another job, how does that affect the buyout? Some contract language says if you get another job in a certain amount of time, the buyout is less.
It's been mentioned in another thread by someone who seems to know that Tech can try to negotiate the buyout settlement down and risk being taken to court. I'm not sure how good a look that would be and more importantly how that would affect the hiring of future coaches.
