I've got 3 negative and 1 positive
Negative:
1) Justin Stockton being the bell cow - I just don't see how this is possible given his upright running style and questionable vision. I've honestly never seen him make an effective cut in the backfield, if the proper hole is open then he gets huge gains but he creates little for himself that doesn't involve being super fast. He has a major role in our offense considering his 11 TDs last year but I don't think it's as Washington's full replacement.
2) Dylan Cantrell being a starter at Z - I think he is great at catching jump balls and sure hands but I'm not sure I've ever actually seen him open. I'm not sure he has the requisite quickness to be a 50+ catch receiver.
3) D-Line will be best since 2009 - I've seen this posted a lot and I think it is correct when it comes to our Defensive tackle position but our defensive end position is going to have the same problem as last season, no depth. Moore and Hill look like great athletes but neither have totally done it on the field and considering Barnes and K. Williams are the backups I would guess they will be playing 75+ plays/game which will create the main problem at that position last season.
Positive:
1) O-Line will be every bit as good as last season, maybe better - When Murphy went down last season the offensive line became very hit or miss on the right side especially. Okafor and T. Morales did a job for us in tough circumstances but they were below average. I expect the talent of Steele and Akomnonu to shine through with Brown and Murphy being road graders on the inside, especially by the end of the season.
I still think this season has the potential to be great and fun, just curious where you feel we are overrated and underrated based on the practice reports.
