I’m about to finish “The Splendid and the Vile by Eric Larson.” It is an outstanding take on Churchill, Hitler and Roosevelt and those close to them during the first couple of years of the war. Larson has done an incredible amount of research from personal diaries, documents and new stories. He takes you inside meetings, dinners and parties to hear what was being discussed and how it turns into policy and strategy. I can’t recommend it more.
