Wes Kittley joined Level and the boys on Tech Talk today to talk about the NCAA Preliminaries this weekend in Austin for track, and the head coach spoke briefly about Nigel Bethel, how he's done in the 100 and 200, and what he's brought to the table this spring.
"Well, I'm so proud of him. He ran a 10.41 in the conference meet, and he ran a 20.81, which is phenomenal, and it was like 12th in the Big 12. We have the toughest sprint group in the Big 12. We had four people go under 10 seconds in the 100, so he's doing fabulous. We're keeping him healthy. If he doesn't get out of this round, he's going to walk back to football next week and be in the best shape of his life. He's just been great, positive on the team. He loves track and field, and I think we got him a lot faster this year."
