I just want to thank @redblackjack and @wigglebone22 for these threads...here and here that ultimately led me to watch Fox Sports Tech Football Preview show I had on the DVR. I was hoping to wait as long as possible before watching.
And this defense has a lot of potential. Let's look at the positives.
-Second year in the system.
-Bring back Fehoko, Hinton, Johnson. Each level has potential playmaking.
-Experienced players have a defined role like Ward, Nelson, Barnes, Jenkins. No longer shuffling them around trying to find the spot. And you know the limitations with these players. Not trying to fit a square into a hole.
-Gary Moore is taking his diapers off. Has serious potential as a rush end.
-Payton Hendrix is starting to figure it out as well.
If you get anything from Hill, Gilmore, Pipkins, Washington, Jamile Johnson, Christian Taylor that's enough to be significantly better before you get additional depth from the incoming recruiting class.
