My son got engaged in December. I really like the young lady: she’s very sweet and seems to be of very good character. Her family seems to be financial f-ups but you can’t have everything. They are currently living together so I guess it is all over but the formalizing.
In any event, he and I were talking and he was asking me about marriage re: dealing with in laws, etc., and one thing that came up was dealing with your wife day-to-day. So he pointed out that, while she is very sweet and easygoing ( I agree), she comes home and almost invariably has a 30 minute long tirade where she bitches about work. I said “Yeah, they all do that.” He says “Really?” I said “Oh yeah.... all of them. It‘s in their genetic make up or deep in that “lizard brain” section of their noodle or something, but all of them do it. All of them. If you find a woman who doesn’t do that, chances are she used to be a dude. Dudes never want to re-live the shitty day they had by bitching about it. But women do.”
He seems incredulous. Am I wrong?
