I wanted to bring attention to a group that I am involved with and that I'm very proud of. @Brandon Bohannon, @Junar45, and possibly others are a few others from this site who are involved as well. This is a description of the group from the website:
"The Ken Davis Chorale is comprised of singers united together through the artistic direction and inspiration of Ken Davis. They come to Dallas to prepare and perform from all over the state of Texas and also many other states around the country. The kinship began in 1989 at Texas Tech University when Ken Davis was appointed Director of Choral Activities. For eleven years, The University Choir, under Davis' direction, received numerous invitations to perform at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, the American Choral Directors Association Convention, Lincoln Center and to participate in a professional recording by Naxos Records. Twenty-five years after Davis' appointment, former members of the University Choir now join together to renew their spirits and their song. The result is this inspiring choral ensemble dedicated to bringing beauty and moving accomplishments to the arts so desperately needed by a world in search of peace and harmony."
Also, if you've visited the Buddy Holly museum in the last month, you likely have seen an exhibit of paintings created by the same Ken Davis.
Some of my fondest memories and closest friendships while at Texas Tech were formed while being a part of the Texas Tech School of Music, and to this day we still love to get together and discuss Tech football.
We are currently in the middle of a fundraising campaign. I know that like myself, many of you grow weary of the myriad of groups asking for funding. But I also know that it is a necessary process in the life of a non-profit group.
Even if you are not led to donate, please take time to visit our website and like our Facebook page. Also, if you live in the Dallas area, consider attending our next concert in January. Information can be found on the website. We are a 501(c)(3) organization.

We now return to your regularly scheduled football discussion. Wreck 'em!
