Arr my annual quandary. How to pipe Tech basketball games on FSSW and FSSW+ into my Carmel, Indiana, home.
In the golden age of Ku band satellite, I'd stand outside in cold basketball weather and manually point my disk from satellite to satellite until I found a signal. One night this involved me shimmying up a tulip tree in the dark with a bow saw to remove some branches that I though were interfering with the satellite signal.
Fast forward to today and I have PSVue. Of course due to antiquated and obscure contractual obligations, FSSW and FSSW+ that carry Tech games are not available in my area. My FS stations are weak: FS Indiana, FS Ohio. Urgh.
Now the golden age is spoofing IPs, and short of that using VPN to appear to be somewhere I'm not - ergo, Lubbock. Tonight I'll be using all the PIA VPN endpoints in Texas to find one that works, and one that has enough bandwidth to deliver a HD stream via VPN to my computer and out to my television. Oohrah. If VPN fails me, I'll be trying some DNS trickeration. If that fails, I'll be scouring the usual sources around tipoff for a link.
If all that fails, I'm just as satisfied to catch the game on the radio, and that I already have rolling via the Double T app with Tune In as my backup.
How do you other out of towners pipe the Texas Tech feed into your house?
