Kirsten was selected #𝟏𝟑 𝐛𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐂 in the January 2021 NWSL draft. Rather than immediately joining the US Women’s professional league, Kirsten chose to return to Tech in the spring to participate in the spring soccer season and graduate with a HDFS degree next month. She will also return to Tech in the fall to begin her graduate studies and finish her Tech career with teammates and coaches at a program and university she loves.
Kirsten has excelled in the characteristics required for the award through her academic achievements and awards (including First Team Academic All-Big 12), volunteer activities, leadership as team captain, and athletic achievements.
