Red Raider Club To Host Virtual Tip-Off Event

LUBBOCK, Texas – The 2020-2021 Red Raider Basketball season will officially begin Nov. 18 as the Red Raider Club invites fans from across the globe to attend the Texas Tech Virtual Tip-Off Event, headlined by head coach Chris Beard.
In addition to both head coaches, fans will hear from Director of Athletics Kirby Hocutt, several current Red Raider basketball student-athletes. In addition, fans will also be able to bid on exciting auction items such as, but not limited to, the opportunity to have a Red Raider Basketball Game VIP Experience, a Chris Beard autographed basketball and official program gear.
Red Raider fans will be able to tune into the event via @TechAthletics on Twitter or on Facebook, YouTube or ESPN-Plus/Big 12 Now. The event will begin at 7 p.m. and will be available free of charge.
The virtual event replaces the preseason annual Tip-Off Event, which annually produces record crowds of Texas Tech Basketball supporters. The in-person event will not take place this year out of concern for COVID-19.
