Vincent Edwards’ college basketball career ended Friday night as Purdue lost to Texas Tech in the Sweet 16.

But Edwards wasn’t bitter in defeat. Quite the opposite, actually.

The Boilermakers star went to Texas Tech’s locker room to congratulate the team after the game in Boston. Sports Illustrated’s Dan Greene took a photo of Edwards shaking hands in the locker room.
Edwards had 12 points and 13 rebounds in Purdue’s 78-65 loss against the Red Raiders. Purdue ended its season with a 30-7 record.
“We had to take care of the ball and didn’t do that. Some miscues and not really connected as a team,” Edwards told reporters after the loss. “Just some things didn’t go right — had too many turnovers, got them out on transition. They were able to get dunks, layups. So I think that’s what changed the momentum right there.”
