TLDR: If the US government tries election interference back to China through certain companies 45 days after the election (dec 18th), these companies lose their rights to property in the US.
Read recently about Surge Energy (started in 2015 based out of Houston) buying up a lot of land in Texas (mainly West). Then I see this post from Lin Wood today and start to look further.
Lots of land purchased adjacent to military bases, on the border, oil patch and ownership of electrical supply in the state. Then a few months ago we get this:

(a) All property and interests in property that are in the United States, that hereafter come within the United States, or that are or hereafter come within the possession or control of any United States person of the following persons are blocked and may not be transferred, paid, exported, withdrawn, or otherwise dealt in: any foreign person determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, in consultation with the Secretary of State, the Attorney General, and the Secretary of Homeland Security:
(i) to have directly or indirectly engaged in, sponsored, concealed, or otherwise been complicit in foreign interference in a United States election;

(iii) to be owned or controlled by, or to have acted or purported to act for or on behalf of, directly or indirectly, any person whose property or interests in property are blocked pursuant to this order."

The first sign of the American order came when a Houston TV station aired video showing people in the courtyard of the consulate apparently burning documents on Tuesday night.
