Basketball recruitment has been a little quiet the past few weeks but Mark Adams and Co. aren't done yet with this 2022 class. Signing Pop Issacs and Robert Jennings was huge but they have lost out on some targets that were on the last Hoops Big Board. Today 4-star Jalen Reed committed to Flordia which wasn't a huge shock. We don't really know hard Tech was recruiting him but in September he had told us that he would like to visit, although it never happened. Don't worry though, there is still some good players left in this class of 2022. I expect Texas Tech to sign 1 or 2 more high school players and then fill out the rest in the portal.

GUARDS
Lamar Washington visited Tech in August. I would continue to place Tech, Oregon State, and Auburn as his leaders right now. Tech's been his only official but he visited Oregon and Oregon State unofficially over the summer. Lamar is expected to commit in November and I like our chances.

FORWARDS
RJ Godfrey is the newest addition to the list and will be in Lubbock starting October 28th for his official visit. There were some questions about whether Tech had offered or not, but Rivals has updated it and we have. Godfrey has visited George Mason, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Ole Miss, and Utah so we will see how this weekend turns out.

Domingos' was supposed to officially visit Tech this past weekend but it turns out it did not end up happening. The Red Raiders are his biggest offer and he plays his JUCO ball for head coach Luke Adams (Mark Adams son). It was said if the coaches wanted him then he'd be ours but his visit being canceled tells me otherwise.

CENTERS
Diongue has been gaining some attention recently, having offers from Kansas, Texas, Illinois, Texas Tech, and more. He plays at the same school as Lamar Washington and has also played with Pop Issacs in the past.

Traore visited Tech earlier in September and it was said to have gone very well. He also recently visited Michigan, Kansas, and Memphis. The G-League and NBL are also involved. If Traore doesn't choose the pro route some could argue that Tech is the favorite. This one is unlikely but Traore is a top priority for Mark Adams so we will have to see how things play out. I don't expect a decision in till Spring.

Another possible player is 5-star SF Marquis Cook. Cook is in the class of 2023 but it has been rumored that he could reclassify. He is a teammate and a close friend of Lamar Washington.
