Good afternoon everyone, just wanted to post the new R250 rankings and share some thoughts...
First off, Vasher was bumped out of the R250 this time around and the national analysts did not address this in their recap...so like many of you, I'm in the dark on that move for the time being.
Vasher will most likely remain a four-star prospect, but is no longer a member of the R250.
I used to come on here and post about rankings, try and explain the process, etc...but my input and opinion is not used in determining these rankings, so much like you guys, I'm an observer of sorts and will simply watch as they evolve over the season.
What I did want to point out is this...
I quickly reviewed the updated R100 and R250 rankings this week, noting A&M and Baylor targets/commits in the process, but there really isn't much going on with Texas Tech on these lists.
The coaches have a ton of commitments and this is a direct contrast to the approach taken in last year's class. Only time will tell what happens with the results, and I'm certainly not here to say that one way is better than another, because the stars/rankings compared to on-field results has long been established.
But does that necessarily apply to a program like Texas Tech?
And do you like the approach this season compared to the 'shooting for the stars' approach last year?
This is what was rolling around in my head between yesterday and now again today...wanted to share and get your thoughts.
