... This time last year, there was at least one question about the Holiday Bowl at every media availability. To a man, everyone involved in the Texas Tech football program more or less said that the game in San Diego was in the past and they were focused on 2014. I asked Kingsbury if that approach is the same coming off of a disappointing season or if they reference 4-8 more than they did the Holiday Bowl, and he said that they've more or less buried 2014. They had a team meeting about it and everything.

... That isn't to say that people have forgotten 4-8 -- quite the opposite, in fact -- but it isn't something that is harped on constantly.

... Texas Tech's Pro Day is on Friday.

... The Red Raiders haven't had a simulated scrimmage yet -- just the typical team periods in practice -- but might have one on Wednesday.

... Kingsbury said that this weekend's Junior Day was the biggest that the Red Raiders have had in his tenure. He seemed pleased with the turnout and with what they were able to get accomplished.

... Kingsbury, Morris and Chiaverini all singled out Reginald Davis as someone who has had a good spring. Chev said that Davis has much better practice habits now compared to last year. Devin Lauderdale is also "night and day" better in his practice habits than he was at this point in 2014.

... Reading between the lines, it sounds like the second group on the offensive line is a mess.

... Quinton White is apparently being used in a couple-few different ways, including a fullback-type role.

... Le'Raven Clark said that he was given a 'stay in school' grade by the NFL Draft Advisory Board.
