Seems Merkel along with the rest of Europe does not want to piss off Putin and they are against giving arms to the Ukraine.
If Ukraine falls what pressure will happen on NATO? Putin does have obvious Nationalistic ambitions and even though his economy is in shambles oil prices will not stay at these levels. He has 2 years left with Obama so will he make a move into the Ukraine and then eye the baltic or will Obama start sending some arms to Ukraine over Germany's objections?
