WTH. Why even say this? What purpose? He told them a year ago that if he did it again that there would be a harsher response. This isnt a warning to prevent a further chemical attack which requires a notice. This is a response to an action already warned about. It's one thing to threaten Rocket Man as a warning to stop. What does he expect Russia and Syria to do when he says I'm attacking you? Reports say they're moving aircraft in theor bases and taking other steps to prepare and protect their assets. If he wasnt so impulsive in his actions and tweets regarding everything, maybe they would've known he was serious and not bluffing after that first missile attack. Maybe his close ties to Putin will result in back room ways to save face for both. Since he and Putin, are buds maybe he'll let Trump have this moment at Syria's expense. It's not like Assad can turn down any order from Russia. Putin definitely doesn't want anyone else in there as president. Maybe he can get Putin to give him some acceptable and meaningless targets. I hope they worked out something in advance to avoid Any misinterpretations for this atrack. In any event, I just dont understand the purpose of saying to the entire world "missiles are coming".
