9,999 posts and I can't remember being more excited and optimistic about the future direction of our program than in the one I am making this morning. It feels like the odometer has rolled and a page has been turned to a new and exciting chapter. Since joining in 2009 this has been an incredible community to be a part of and we've been on quite a ride together. I've met some great life-long friends and fantastic people who are all-time great Red Raiders on this board and I want to thank @C. Level, @A. Dickens and the rest of the staff for their tireless work that keeps us coming back everyday.
One of those all-time great Red Raiders that I have met along the way was Coach Mainord. I wish he could see the incredible coaching turnaround we're about to witness through those iconic glasses. He just came to mind recently with this search since he has been there through many (every) administration, helping guide our head coaches. If we could fill our next staff with 10 Carlos Mainords, we wouldn't lose many games. He was red and black to the core and I hope we honor him in a way befitting of his years of dedicated service.
Last night our new head football coach planted a flag in the city of Dallas and at noon today, he'll make his second statement. One that I have no doubt will stir Red Raider nation. This has been a community divided one way or another since not long after I first started posting in 2009 and I hope and believe my next 10,000 posts are going to be in much happier days.
Today is also the beginning of another new era. Basketball is back to make us happy again and Coach Adams is finally going to get his chance to show the world what we know he is capable of.
Today is a great day to be a Red Raider and for post number 10,000
