....a class of 2020 QB, that is.

The coaches are holding a mini-camp for grades 9-12 in Lubbock today and Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral 2020 dual-threat quarterback Bryce Young made the trip from the West Coast to the South Plains for today's camp.

The Texas Tech coaches, mainly new running backs Coach DeShaun Foster, were at Cathedral recruiting a few players for the 2017 class and the coaches shared Young's tape. Long story short, he accepted a camp invite and will work out with Coach Kingsbury later today.

I know, I know...but it turns out Young is not your average incoming freshman quarterback. One of our National Analysts, Adam Gorney, watched Young at the Rivals QB Challenge in Los Angeles this past March.

Recruiting wrap: The 2020 quarterback from Los Angeles Cathedral is just getting started with the recruiting process.

Performance: Young is not only a tremendous quarterback but an outstanding athlete and could be special as a dual-threat in the coming years. The 2020 prospect is quick in his drops, moves around the pocket extraordinarily well and then has surprising arm strength for an undersized quarterback. There is no question Young is one to watch this fall and many more to come.
