Gio, I know that you have inherited a situation and I know that you are making adjustments where possible. For this week, if you can, I would love to see if we cannot accomplish a few of these things:
1. If an injured person/alumni group/war veteran is to be recognized... Send them to the field with a "Raider" sign and somebody else in the group with a "power" sign. After the name is announced, the cam shows them starting the RP chant with help from cheerleaders etc... This way it won't end with dead air and soft clapping. The cheer will be louder for them.
2. If music comes out of the audio system... MAKE IT BUMP!!! The music needs to get the students and team bouncing, excited. Country and 1980s Heavy metal songs from "crazy train" to anything "red dirt kuntree" don't get the crowd rowdy.
3. I have no idea how many dot races, kiss cam, love cam, child abduction cam, vendor cams that we have... can they all occur at half and Quarter transition...?
4. Intros of dignitaries by the announcer don't have to be long.
5. When The orange gloved TV man is preparing to bring us back from timeout, about 20 seconds before that, the crowd should be getting amped.
RG, you're a great Red Raider, and this is not a complaint... I just don't wanna kill the vibe that our stadium can produce, and I am trying to be constructive. If at any point the crowd seems like it is getting quiet, because of oddly placed in game contests... it is. I have no doubt that over time you will have this ship righted and I appreciate what you have have done and continue to do.
