Suck it sports-only talkers, and the haters on this board.
The always-dominant Morning Musers posted their best-ever monthly ratings in January. George Dunham, Craig Miller and Gordon Keith scored a whopping 11.5 share in the key sports talk demographic of men 25-54.
The 11.5 includes listeners to streaming audio.
Note: Only Sportsradio KTCK-AM (1310) and KTCK-FM (96.7) The Ticket includes streaming listeners in its monthly numbers delivered here earlier this week.
The Musers led the Ticket to the top of the heap in the January book that covered Dec. 31 to Jan. 27.
The No. 2 show in the market was The Ticket's BaD Radio, which scored a 6.9 in the noon to 3 p.m. time slot.
The top show at 105.3 The Fan was Ben & Skin at 4.4 in afternoon drive while Mike & Mike led the way at KESN-FM (103.) at 4.1.
Overall in men 25-54, the finish for the entire book was:
Ticket - 6.2
Fan - 4.7
KESN - 2.8
In men 25-54 from Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. when the big-name, high-priced local talent was on the air:
Ticket - 8.0
Fan - 4.0
KESN - 2.7
In the interest of egalitarianism, something no radio station cares about because in their business they target specific demographics, here are the book's radio ratings for all listeners over the age of 6:
Fan: 3.0
Ticket: 2.5
ESPN: 1.4
Further egalitarianism: If you include women in the 25-54 demographic, The Fan scored a 3.7 to The Ticket's 3.4 in radio listeners.
Here's a Monday-Friday breakdown of men 25-54 in shows from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.or January (Note: The Ticket's 10 a.m. to noon show has doubled its ratings since Donovan Lewis joined Norm Hitzges on the final day of August.)
