Great film. I was in High School when we walked on the Moon for the first time and then in College during the last moon walk. So I grew up with Sputnik. I was 10 I think when the Russians put Sputnik up and announced it to the world. I remember walking out in my backyard and looking up at the sky. It was so mind blowing to think we could be up above the planet. IN SPACE....the world went nuts and the Space Race began. All those missions and remembered so well in Tom Wolfs' book The Right Stuff and the film made from his book....So far away now in the past. This film about Gene Cernan is worth watching.
Manned space flight is gone I think and the age of robots are with us. It is simply too expensive to send manned spacecraft up but watching this film Gene makes a good argument.
