Do we have a "one of a kind" coach.....In 1967 I got to see Ole Miss play Alabama in Jackson. The Bear was the Alabama coach. Ole Miss had the better team and the better QB in Archie Manning.
Alabama won the game by doing the "little things" turnovers, goal line stand, mistake free play. The next day I asked an Alabama alum I knew how they won
the game.....his reply.... "they refused to lose".
Bum Phillips famous quote about Coach Bryant..... "He can take 'his'n and beat you'n.....then he can take you'n and beat his'n.
Have we caught "lightning in a bottle?" Time will tell....but we have an exceptional coach.
