Today was my final day on the Texas Tech beat for RedRaiderSports.com. It feels surreal to even type that out. This job has meant so much to me. The community here, the relationships and the experiences that have come of it are things that I wouldn’t trade for the world.
I took great pride in how we developed our coverage style over the past three years, and I truly believe that it was some of the best around. From the baseball scrimmages where I was the only person in the stands to the Saturdays at Jones Stadium with nearly 60,000 of our closest friends, my goal was about being genuine with high effort, and I hope I accomplished that.
It was extremely fun to have the creative freedom to cover the sport how I desired, and I am extremely thankful to @C. Level for entrusting a 19-year-old with the gig and furthermore allowing him to do it with his best friend. Had a ton of fun @J. Ramirez, I am excited to see you continue to grow.
This job truly changed my college experience, making my years at Tech extremely worthwhile and valuable, and it was possible because of every one of you. It helped me find my passion and develop into the person I believe myself to be today, so for that, thank you.
Truly, thank you for reading over the years, I enjoyed every single day on here, for better or worse.
As for what’s next, I’m super excited to chase a dream, something that this website allowed me to vault into. Lubbock will always be home. Wreck ‘Em.
