For the TLDR crowd: this thing is going to grow into something huge if given time.
Everyone else- I was very happy with what I saw and experienced at the TGE effort yesterday. The tent that they had could have been twice the size and looked full. Great food, cold beer, short lines.
Lots of opposing fans there and that was cool. I could see where families visiting Tech could be given a coupon or something to have a place to tailgate their first time on campus.... So many things could/can grow from this.
You can't hardly beat the incredible efforts of Prevost, MBeatty and others with their really nice gatherings. This is for that crowd that would otherwise wander around campus due to lack of contacts with those folks mentioned earlier.
Good job Tech and TGE. Let this damn thing breathe a bit and you will fill the engineering key on gameday.
