Texas Tech won a National Title in Men's Collegiate Polo in 2006. The national trophy goes all the way back to the 1800s and will forever have Texas Tech on it. The one scholarship player on the team that year died earlier this month. The polo community around the world mourned his death. He was one of the best professional player's in the world at the time of his passing. He was a great team member, horseman, friend, and Red Raider. He was responsible for bringing us a national title to our polo team that dates back to the early 1960s!! Just thought you guys might wont to know about a great Red Raider. Below is a long video of his memorial service in Dallas at the Lucchese Boots Polo Ranch. If you fast forward to the end there is a great poem at the 12 minute mark. Also the procession of the horse with missing rider is at the 4:30 minute mark.
