I continue to see/hear many of my fellow Texans call for Texas to secede from the US. I understand that a lot of people hate the federal government and anything related to today's Democratic Party, but are those in favor of secession okay with the likelihood of their taxes skyrocketing to pay for their own military, public works, etc. as well as the price of the everyday goods going way up? I don't understand how these things can be overlooked other than the people crying for secession not realizing what all would come with that actually happening. Thoughts?
