My mom unexpectedly passed away last Friday and I'm currently attempting to get everything in order for her funeral service and dealing with the loss of my mother. One major glaring matter that needs resolution is my mentally disabled brother and his (blind) wife lived with her. Long story short, I need help getting them approved for the Texas Housing Authority program to get them affordable housing that will put them in a stable living environment. I have zero experience here, but they were previously on it years ago and moved in with my mom. I assume the system is design to be complicated and would be helpful to have an attorney or agent of sort. I would greatly appreciate any words of wisdom here. The sooner I can get them approved, the better for everyone involved.
