So I was looking at ESPN and thought about this while writing another post.
McGuire and Tech this year got a HARD schedule. Right now he is facing at a min five Top 25 teams in his first six games. There is a possibility outside of WVU and ISU, Tech will be facing a top 25 team the entire season (9 total).
How does that rank with previous seasons.
Tech faced at most since 2007 6 Top 25 AP teams. (2011 and 2012). Tech has faced 5 top 25 teams in 2008, 2013, 2015).
I know a lot of us are really passionate about this program and games like Nc State and KSU are rough to stomach. But in the big scheme of stuff, this is a rebuilding year with a tough path to 6 wins. I do really believe the 2023 and 2024 seasons are going to be a lot different but just like KU or BU when they had rebuilding years, at least we beat Texas.
