This is a question just like the title line indicates.
The mental makeup of both teams is different,
tcu facing a lot of adversity and questions. wvu riding high after big win in Austin and everyone singing praises coming to play a tech team that got beat down by ou.
But on paper there are a lot of similarities between this tcu team and the wvu team that came in here and got beat down in 2012. Obviously our teams are different too so feel free to discuss that as well, as well as the different mental factors coming into this game.
A little closer look:
wvu was I believe coming off a big orange bowl season the year before and had high expectations that accompanied a top 5 ranking and a Heisman contender at qb.
They had weapons galore Stedmond Bailey and Tavon Austin at wideout and a back in Buie that had just come off of a 200 yard rushing performance against a stout ut d line.
Their defense was going to be suspect but had the athletes to slow down the Red Raiders, or at worst outscore them easily.
Interesting similarities, hoping for similar result. What say you all?
