Can you guys help me out with some of your tax and Trump logic? You say we should not raise taxes on corporations because said taxes will just be passed on to the consumer. However, Trump argues the tariffs (a tax) are good for the American consumer and hurt China. So how is it taxing Chinese goods, and making Americans pay more, is a good thing? Help me square your logic.
I am not arguing whether Chinese tariffs are good or bad. I am not saying China doesn't cheat and steal intellectual property. I am simply trying to understand how you guys buy the straight up lie that tariffs are not paid by the American consumer, and are paid by the Chinese. Even Larry Kudlow had to finally admit this (he tried not to) when being interviewed by Chris Wallace.
