Just saw today that The Avett Brothers will be at SXSW March 16-17. I will be at the in-laws in Llano with the family for spring break (will holler llanobbq) and thinking about heading to Austin to see them (got a spot on the couch mbeatty?). I have never been to SXSW (not near hip enough) and have no clue on how everything works
Questions on two events:
1. March 16 - anyone been to this in the past? Do the acts play 1-2 songs or more of a real set?
Radio station KGSR 93.3 FM announced the lineup for their popular morning South by Southwest broadcasts today and it includes a few good surprises. Most notably wistful folk rockers Avett Brothers and rapidly rising young British singer-songwriter Jake Bugg will perform.
The broadcasts, hosted by KGSR personalities Andy Langer and Emily McIntosh, run 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 16- Friday March 18 and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 19 at the W Austin. The broadcasts are open to the public with a $5 suggested donation to the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Central and South Texas.

No clue on wristbands/badges. Possible to obtain one for a single show?
